PT-141

PT-141, also known as bremelanotide, is a medication primarily used to treat sexual dysfunction, specifically hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) in premenopausal women. It can also be used off-label to address erectile dysfunction (ED) and low libido in men. PT-141 works by activating melanocortin receptors in the brain, which are involved in sexual arousal, and it does not affect the vascular system like some other treatments for ED.
